On this Veteran's day, I honor my grandfathers and my uncle Jere. Thank you for your service and I wish the world was a kinder place that hadn't needed you to risk your lives for us. But you did and I thank you! Thank you to all who serve.
My Grandpa Chaz after he climbed Mt Fuji. My grandmother went to Japan on a cargo ship in order to be with him. She did not climb the mountain. ;-) I only have vague memories of him, as he died of a heart attack when I was three. I wish I knew you more. The stories my grandma tells make me realize that we would have been great friends, not just family.
My Pop Pop and Gum (I dedicated the breast cancer challenge to her!) they have been married for over 60 years. They've known each other since kindergarten. How cute is that?
So here's my entry for the THX challenge!
